Mt Kulal Biosphere Reserve
Mt Kulal Biosphere Reserve is part of the Tentative list of Kenya in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
Mt Kulal Biosphere Reserve covers an eroded extinct Pleistocene volcano in a desert landscape. The mountain is covered in forests and thus is a haven for (migrating) birds. Kulal is managed by the local communities.
